FIELD: fire-fighting.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental equipment, namely to benches for research of combustion and extinguishing processes of materials. Test bench for materials combustion and extinguishing processes comprises combustion chamber composed of steel parallelepiped divided into two parts by horizontal grate. Front side of the combustion chamber in the upper part is equipped with a door with an inspection window, and in the lower part – with a solid door. Inside the upper part of the combustion chamber, on two opposite side walls, the first and second flame sensors are installed, respectively. In the centre of the upper wall of the combustion chamber there is a nozzle, on both sides of which the first and the second heat sensors are installed. Inside the combustion chamber in the corners located along the diagonal of the upper wall the first and the second point smoke sensors are installed, and in the other two opposite corners the first and the second radio channel smoke sensors are installed. Video camera is mounted next to the first radio channel smoke sensor located on the side of the front wall of the combustion chamber. Control cabinet comprises programmable logic controller connected to power supply unit. Flame, thermal, smoke point and radio channel smoke sensors are connected to a programmable logic controller, to which indicator lamps are connected, each of which corresponds to one of the above sensors. Indicator lamps are located outside on the control cabinet door. Through side wall of upper part of combustion chamber the pipe is brought into atmosphere. Through the upper wall of the combustion chamber, a chimney is brought into the atmosphere, inside which a fan is placed. Gas analyser probe is built into the flue, and a deflector is installed at the end of the flue. Nozzle is connected by the first pipeline through the first valve and the pump to the tank filled with fire extinguishing liquid. Nozzle is connected by the second pipeline through the second valve to the vessel filled with fire extinguishing powder, to which the compressor is connected. Nozzle is connected by the third pipeline through the third valve and the reducer to the cylinder filled with inert gas. Fan, first, second and third valves, pump and compressor are connected to programmable logic controller. Programmable logic controller, video camera and gas analyser are connected to personal computer.

EFFECT: providing an opportunity to study combustion and extinguishing processes of various materials.
