FIELD: measuring; fire-fighting means.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental equipment, in particular to a stand for investigating fire extinguishing processes with a hydrate fire extinguisher. A stand for investigation of fire extinguishing processes with a hydrate fire extinguisher comprises a combustion chamber representing a steel parallelepiped divided inside by a fire grate into upper and lower compartments, in the front walls of each of which there is a door, and the door of the upper compartment is provided with a window. A pipe is mounted into the upper wall of the combustion chamber, in which a slide valve equipped with a servo drive is installed. On the gate valve there is a hydrate fire extinguisher in the form of a can of polyethylene terephthalate filled with carbon dioxide hydrate and closed by a lid. Pipe for air supply is inserted into one side wall of upper compartment of combustion chamber. Temperature gage and gas analyser probe are fitted in combustion chamber opposite sidewall. Chimney inside of which there is a fan is brought out from upper wall of combustion chamber to atmosphere. End of chimney is equipped with deflector. Control panel comprises programmable logic controller connected to power supply. A servo drive, a temperature sensor, a gas analyser, a fan and a personal computer are connected to the programmable logic controller.

EFFECT: study of efficiency of using hydrate fire extinguisher.
