FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: rod element retainer for an apparatus for external fixation of bone fragments of extremities and/or pelvis includes a clamping unit placed on the rod and a drive means. Clamping unit is a one-piece part, in the body of which there is a slot for dividing into two elastic clamping jaws with recesses, which form a lodgement for the first rod element at their conjugation. Rod has the possibility of protruding beyond the surface of the clamping unit and is made with a transverse hole for the second rod element. Drive means is made in the form of an eccentric handle pivotally connected to the rod, having the possibility of fixing the first rod element in the clamping jaws when turning into a fixed position and pressing the second rod element to the outer surface of the clamping unit. Eccentric handle can be arranged along clamping assembly at fixed position of its jaws and has a longitudinal slot for passing through it of the second rod element. System for external fixation of bone fragments of extremities and/or pelvis comprises rod elements, at least one said retainer of rod elements with one clamping unit and at least one retainer of rod elements with two clamping units arranged on the rod, and a drive means. Clamping unit is a one-piece part, in the body of which there is a slot for dividing into two elastic clamping jaws with recesses forming a lodgement for the rod element at their conjugation. Drive means is made in the form of an eccentric handle pivotally connected to the rod, having the ability to fix the rod elements in the clamping jaws when turned into a fixed position.
EFFECT: inventions provide fast and reliable fixation of bearing rod elements in apparatus for external fixation of bone fragments of extremities and/or pelvis.
