FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to paediatrics, neurology and psychiatry, and can be used for treating autism spectrum disorders (ASD), both isolated and combined with epilepsy in children. What is used is a group- and Rhesus-compatible preparation of umbilical blood plasma obtained after umbilical blood sampling, followed by freezing, defrosting, removal of cryoprecipitate, sterilizing filtration, repeated freezing in 20 ml test tubes and storage at temperature from -10 to -30 °C. Before use, the preparation is defrosted for 30-60 minutes and injected intravenously in a single dose of 20 ml. Therapeutic course is 4 to 8 injections with interval of 7-14 days between them.

EFFECT: method enables increasing the effectiveness of treating ASD in children by using an umbilical blood plasma preparation containing thrombocyte derivatives and biologically active proteins, which are able to have a stimulating effect on neuro- and angioneogenesis in the brain, on anti-asthenic and cognitive functions, increasing the level of active functioning of patients.
