FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to neurophysiology and can be used for brain rhythm maturity correction. Brain rhythm maturity is diagnosed. Reference rhythm, weak regression, moderate regression or deep regression are determined. Further, cerebral rhythm maturity is corrected. Exposure to a harmonic monochromatic light signal with a wavelength in range of 630–760 nm with a discretely increasing frequency in range of 4–20 Hz. Mathematical model of a thalamocortical cell is used. Model parameter d is set depending on the diagnostic result. Light signal is exposed using the parameters predicted by the model and providing a transition to a higher level of brain rhythm maturity. Brain rhythm maturity correction is completed when the patient reaches the reference rhythm level.
EFFECT: method enables correcting the maturity of cerebral rhythms and extending the capabilities of neurofeedback in medicine and rehabilitation, taking into account the individual characteristics of the individuals being examined.
