FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: prostate volume is determined. Depending on the determined volume, an endoscopic approach is chosen. If the prostate volume is up to 40 cm3, transurethral bipolar plasma prostate vaporisation is performed. If the volume is 40 - 80 cm3, bipolar transurethral prostate resection in physiologic saline is performed. The volume of 81-250 cm3 requires transurethral prostate enucleation by a bipolar loop. An open surgery is conducted if the volume is more than 250 cm3.
EFFECT: method enables eradication of the increased benign prostatic hyperplasia, reduced risk of haemorrhage.
