FIELD: radiochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radiochemistry, specifically to purification of thorium-227 using a device for further synthesis of radiopharmaceuticals for radionuclide therapy of various diseases. Method describes the technology of purifying thorium-227 using the device. Solution containing the mixture of radionuclides is collected by means of a syringe pump, dosed through a cartridge with a sorbent into a vessel for wastes, then the radionuclide retained on the sorbent is eluted into the vessel for collecting the eluate. Distribution of reagent flows is provided by switching of a multi-way flow switch. Eluate is evaporated and an inert gas flow is fed into the eluate vessel under vacuum provided by a membrane vacuum pump. After evaporation, a solution is added to the eluate to dissolve the precipitate containing the radionuclide. After dosing of the above liquids, the tubes and flow switches are purged with an inert gas for complete transfer of the liquids.
EFFECT: invention enables to efficiently separate thorium-227 and its decay products, and the obtained solution containing thorium-227 meets the requirements of pharmaceutical production.
