FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to X-ray diagnostics (magnetic resonance imaging), urology and oncology, and can be used for assessing a probability of detecting prostate cancer in males in the primary diagnosis of a prostate pathology. Patient with suspected prostate cancer based on complaints and with negative results of primary diagnosis on PSA and/or evaluation by PI-RADS scale, performing bpMRI of prostate without contrast agent, manual segmentation of the area of interest is performed on parametric ADC maps, followed by processing in the LifeX software; the MRI radiomics are quantified: DISCRETIZED_HISTO_Entropy_log10, SHAPE_Sphericity[onlyFor3DROI], PARAMS_ZSpatialResampling, GLRLM_SRE, GLRLM_RLNU, then calculating the probability of prostate cancer (PCP) in a patient using the original formula, and if the PCP value is more than 0.48, a high probability of detecting prostate cancer is predicted, if the PCP value is less than or equal to 0.48, prostate cancer is not likely.
EFFECT: invention provides predicting the probability of prostate cancer detection ensured by extending the non-invasive diagnostic options on the basis of the MRI radiomics data that leads to reducing a risk of errors at the primary diagnostic stage.
