FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to method of pre-operative prediction of stage and aggressiveness of prostate cancer. Method of pre-operative prediction of stage and aggressiveness of prostate cancer, including determination in patient's blood serum before treatment levels of total prostatic antigen (PAtot) with Hybritech calibration, free PA (PAfree) with Hybritech calibration, [-2]proPA with Hybritech calibration, characterized by that calculation of laboratory index of clinical staging (LICS) of prostate cancer by formula: and if – LICS < 500, then localised indolent prostate cancer is diagnosed, index of Glison ≤ 6; – LICS > 5,000, but ≤ 7,000, then aggressive prostate cancer is diagnosed, index of Glison > 6 or stage ≥ T3a; – LICS > 7,000, then aggressive prostate cancer is diagnosed, index of Glison > 6 and stage ≥ T3a, further based on analysis of obtained data using linear regression at logarithmic concentrations of markers and patient's age new index (LICS-V) is calculated by formula: LICS-V = LICS/100+1.5*V, where V is patient's age in years, and if – LICS-V < 100, prostate cancer is localized indolent, index of Glison ≤ 6, stage ≤ T2; – LICS-V > 150, prostate cancer is not localised indolent, index of Glison ≥ 7, stage ≥ T3a.

EFFECT: method described above is effective for preoperative prediction of stage and aggressiveness of prostate cancer.
