SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used for assessing a risk of non-sentinel lymph node involvement accompanying melanoma with micrometastasis in the sentinel lymph node. Preoperative lymphoscintigraphy data, tumour and metastasis morphological criteria are analysed. If observing a subclinical metastasis in the sentinel lymph node, a probability of multiple involvement of non-sentinel lymph nodes is assessed by the presence of a number of predictors. If observing no predictors or presence of 1-2 predictors, a risk of non-sentinel lymph node involvement is estimated as 0 to 12.5%. If observing 3 to 5 predictors, a risk of non-sentinel lymph node involvement is estimated as 37.5 to 44.4%. If observing 6 predictors, a risk of non-sentinel lymph node involvement is estimated as 80%.

EFFECT: method enables detecting a risk of non-sentinel lymph node involvement and identifying the patients with a risk of regional recurrence by assessing a set of the most significant parameters.
