FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: device relates to active-type vibration dampers and can be used on towers, multi-storey buildings and other construction facilities, which experience dynamic loads from seismic effects, wind, process equipment, etc., to reduce vibration amplitudes of structures. Principle of operation of the device (reactive damper) consists in generation of alternating reactive pulses preventing relative (bending) movements (oscillatory movements) of the structure when the specified deviations are exceeded. Activation of the reactive damper from seismic action on the structure is carried out by the triad “displacement – speed – electric drive of the damper”. Important feature of the reactive damper is the relatively low cost of generating large reactive effects.
EFFECT: task of the device is active damping of spatial oscillations of the protected mechanical system.
