FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, specifically to a portable lighting unit for the removal of pathogens. Assembly comprises a housing, a processor, a lamp placed in said housing for irradiating surfaces with disinfectant ultraviolet light having peak wavelength of 222 nm and filtered to limit illumination above 230 nm. Lamp is configured to form an exposure area. Assembly includes a distance measuring system including a light source configured to generate a signal, and a photodetector configured to measure a distance of said lamp to the surface irradiated by said lamp, according to said signal reflected from the surface to said photodetector. Light source is offset at an angle from said lamp and is configured to project a signal to a central region of the irradiation zone formed by said lamp, which determines the peak level of irradiation energy on the surface, and said photodetector is configured to signal said processor to calculate the vertical distance between said lamp and the central region of the irradiation zone on the irradiation surface from the angular projection of the signal.
EFFECT: fast elimination of pathogens on surfaces and safer effect on a human.
