FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of measurements in power industry, namely to methods of diagnostics of technical state of base insulators under voltage. Method of diagnostics of technical condition of high-voltage insulators under voltage includes excitation of oscillations in the insulator by means of oscillation exciter and measurement of vibration of insulator surface. Vibration exciter is fixed by means of magnetic sole on metal support in close proximity to support insulator. Vibration signals of insulator surface are recorded by means of laser vibrometer, signal is filtered at excitation frequency and its amplitude is measured. Insulator damage is detected by deviation of resonant frequencies of the insulator from reference resonant frequencies of sound insulator or by their loss.
EFFECT: improving quality and speed of diagnostics of high-voltage insulators, improving safety of works performance due to absence of contacts with live parts of electric power facilities.
