FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to dentistry, and is applicable in crown restoration. Modelling key is made from transparent polymer material. Modelling key is digitally made on the basis of the dental model extracted from a database of archived three-dimensional basic models of teeth and dental arches of the patient containing a digital three-dimensional model of the natural anatomical shape of the tooth. After the mechanical and drug preparation of the tooth, the modelling key is used to squeeze the composite material introduced into the tooth cavity. Modelling key is placed on the tooth to be restored, positioning it on the intact portions of the tooth crown. Before adding the last portion of the photopolymer composite material, the working surface of the modelling key is coated with a layer of Vaseline. Excesses of composite material that has left the restoration limits are removed, and the process of squeezing and removal of the composite material is repeated until the composite material stops leaving the restoration limits during squeezing. Then, the restoration borders are smoothed with a silicone brush, the modelling key is applied to the tooth and the composite material is illuminated through the modelling key for 1-2 s, then modelling key is removed and composite material is re-ignited until complete polymerisation.
EFFECT: method due to key generation on the basis of the tooth model extracted from the database of archived three-dimensional basic models of the teeth and dentitions of the patient, allows to recreate the exact natural anatomy of the crown of the destroyed tooth.
