FIELD: medical science.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. Abraham lens is installed, and YAG laser pulses are applied, a laser focus is displaced behind a retroprosthesis membrane (RPM) and capsular bag fibrosis (CBF) by 0.5 mm. That is followed by delivering YAG laser pulses first along a lower semi-circle to form a lower edge of the discission. Further, the lower semicircular flap is fragmented with YAG laser pulses, starting from the lower edge and gradually moving towards the centre. Then cutting off the upper part is started, making pulses from the centre to the periphery, fragmenting the upper semi-circle with YAG laser pulses. Further, laser pulses are applied along the edge of the upper semi-circle, forming a smooth edge of discission from above; 15-50 YAG laser pulses of power 1.5-4.5 MJ, wave length 1064 nm, spot size 8 mcm, discission diameter 3 mm are applied.
EFFECT: method enables reducing a risk of developing complications and reducing the length of the visual rehabilitation of the patients that is ensured by the possibility of the YAG-laser to perform non-invasive discission of the dense RPM and CBF.
