FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used in treating secondary cataract in eye pseudophakia with tamponade of vitreal cavity with light silicone oil. First, laser applicates with power of 1.0 mJ are applied on sections from 11 to 13 and from 5 to 7 o'clock position, forming holes. Further, the patient moves his head from a vertical position to a horizontal position face down for 10 minutes, wherein the intraocular fluid moves from the lower part of the eye into the retrolental space and into the capsular sac, increasing the space between the IOL and the posterior capsule and between the posterior capsule and the light silicone oil. Thereafter, the patient moves his/her head from a horizontal to a vertical position, and the posterior chamber is complete dissected in a circle to form a discision hole by pulsed radiation of a YAG laser with power of 1.0 mJ and 50 pulses. Intraocular fluid moves downward to carry the cut off flap.
EFFECT: method allows performing YAG-laser discision of secondary cataract on eyes with silicone tamponade, reducing risk of complications.
