FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to orthodontics, and is intended for producing desired position of teeth in treating and preventing dentofacial anomalies in children aged from 3 to 12 years old suffering impaired physiological abrasion time canines. Method comprises orthodontic treatment including grinding cusps of temporary canines and treatment appliances. Grinding cusps of temporary canines is performed before and during treatment appliances. In period of temporary occlusion from 3 to 6 years, method comprises performing grinding cusps of temporary canines within enamel. In period of early replaceable occlusion from 6 to 9 years, method includes grinding cusps of temporary canines within cementoenamel junction, up to point of opening dentin. In period of late replaceable occlusion, starting from 9 years, method includes grinding cusps of temporary canines within laminated dentin, to level of crowns of adjacent teeth.

EFFECT: method due to increased probability of obtaining stable synergistic effect is a result of combined action used orthodontic appliances and grinding cusps of temporary canines increases efficiency and physiological value of treatment.
