SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil industry, in particular to methods for monitoring the development of oil deposits with a formation pressure maintenance system (FPM). Disclosed is a method for monitoring the development of oil deposits, which includes formation on the server of a database with geological and technological parameters of development objects based on historical data, sampling from said database of at least two development objects and unloading parameters for development objects from data base. Development objects are combined into groups of same-type by means of clustering algorithm and determining key indicators for each development object in a group of same-type objects. For each key indicator weight coefficients are determined and key indicators are normalized, thus determining minimum and maximum values for all development objects in single-type group for each key indicator, thus dividing values of key indicators into five ranges using statistical interval estimates. Then rating assessment of technological efficiency of development objects of DOj is determined and development objects are ranged in the group of the same type as per value of DOj. According to the ranking results, development objects with the highest rank are selected in the group, and geological and technical measures are carried out for the remaining development objects at the development objects with the highest rank. Development objects are operated, the operations are repeated, starting from the formation on the server of a database with geological and technological parameters of development objects according to historical data, at least once a year.
