METHOD FOR CONTROL OF DEVELOPMENT OF OIL POOLS WITH THE HELP OF MAPS OF RESIDUAL OIL-SATURATED STRATA Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: oil-producing industry; methods for control of oil pools development. SUBSTANCE: method includes geological field research of wells and laboratory investigations of properties of formation fluids and porous media; calculation of residual oil-saturated strata in the nearest surroundings of i-well by water cutting of its production using for the purpose of Bacley-Leverett relationships; reestablishment of the field of residual oil-saturated strata in arbitrary point of well with consideration of the results of current geological field researches of wells and engineering geological measures; additional construction of maps of initial oil-saturated strata; determination of volumes of accumulated recovered oil for producing wells and volume of injections for injection wells and distribution of permeability by interbeds and contributions of operating wells in formation of field of residual oil-saturated strata. This is determined as a function depending on adjusting parameter, distance from i-well to arbitrary point of pool, accumulated recovered oil volume, and volume of injections, residual oil-saturated strata in the nearest surroundings of i-well with consideration of distribution of permeability by interbeds. Residual oil-saturated strata are calculated in arbitrary point of pool and filed of residual oil-saturated strata is reestablished by selection of adjusting parameter by iteration system with consideration of fulfillment of balance relationship.
