FIELD: gas-discharge equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas-discharge equipment and can be used in means of displaying information on gas-discharge display panels (GDP) of alternating current. In AC GDP control method, which consists in dividing an image frame into subframes containing addressing intervals and indication intervals, supply in subframes addressing intervals recording pulses to control electrodes and scanning pulses to first indication electrodes, perpendicular to control electrodes, and in intervals of indication of discharge maintenance pulses to parallel first and second indication electrodes of display elements used to form fragment of image corresponding to this subframe, image frame is divided into four subframes using four groups of display elements successively alternating along control electrodes, wherein each of the first and second indication electrodes is common for display elements located along the control electrode.
EFFECT: high reliability of controlling GDP with small pitch of display elements and halving the number of row drivers.
