FIELD: gas-discharge equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas-discharge engineering and can be used in information display devices on gas-discharge display panels (GDP) of alternating current. Image frame is divided into odd and even half-frames. Delay initialisation pulses are sent to the interval of the semi-frames preparation for the first and second indication electrodes of the display elements, in the addressing interval – the selective write/erase pulses to the control electrodes and the scanning pulses on one of the selected line display elements electrodes, and in indication interval – pulses of discharge maintenance to first, second and third display elements indication electrodes. Display interval is divided by n≥2 alternating display subintervals, in one of which discharge maintenance pulses are supplied to the display elements first and second display electrodes, and in others – to the second and third indication electrodes, wherein the first and third indication electrodes are common for display elements located nearby a row, and phases of feeding pulses to maintain discharge in subintervals of indication are set so that to ensure discharge transfer from indicator gap between first and second indication electrodes into indicator gap between second and third indication electrodes and back.

EFFECT: technical result is higher brightness and reliability of control GDP.
