FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used for treating patients with cerebral neoplasms. Method involves a split course of radiotherapy combined with administration of a chemopreparation and an anti-inflammatory preparation. Radiotherapy course is two-staged: first method involves irradiating the tumour with a single boost dose (SBD) of 2 Gy, until achieving a total boost dose (TBD) of 30-40 Gy, at the second stage – SBD is 2 Gy, TBD is 20-30 Gy, with a three-week pause between the stages. Daily, continuously during the entire course of radiotherapy, the chemopreparation Temozolomide is administered at dose of 75 mg/m2 and an accompanying therapy is carried out with the anti-inflammatory preparation Dexamethasone at dose of 6 mg, decongestant preparation Diacarb in dose of 250 mg and angioprotective preparation L-lysine escinate in dose of 10 mg. If observing the developing neurological deficit, the preparation Diacarb is withdrawn, and the osmotic diuretic Mannitol 150 mg/ml is introduced.
EFFECT: use of the invention improves the effectiveness of treatment, reduces the severity of the radiation reaction and the toxic effect of the chemopreparation by increasing the radiosensitivity of the malignant tumour, inhibiting angiogenesis, proliferative activity and increasing targeted cytotoxic activity of the applied therapeutic regimen.
