SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biodegradable solid materials for heated granulated tobacco products and methods for their preparation. Biodegradable solid material for heated granulated tobacco products contains a composition of raw materials in percentage by weight, specifically 25-50% of matrix material and 50-75% of heat-resistant filler. Matrix material is at least one of polyadipic acid/butylene terephthalate (PBAT), polybutylene succinate (PBS), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and polylactic acid (PLA). PVA is glycerine-modified PVA obtained using a modification method which involves addition of glycerine in amount of 10-50% of the weight of PVA to PVA and after complete soaking, obtaining glycerine-modified PVA.

EFFECT: invention enables to produce a solid material which performs a supporting function when using heated granulated tobacco products, which has high thermal stability, after heating is not characterized by noticeable shrinkage and destruction caused by heating, and also does not produce additional release of harmful substances into the main smoke stream of heated tobacco products and does not have a negative effect on the sensory qualities of cigarettes.
