SUBSTANCE: disclosed is aerosol-generating device (20), an aerosol delivery system, a method for operating the aerosol-generating device. Controller is configured to supply a control signal for vibration of the transducer. All or part of the control signal determines the perceptible output signal of the transducer detected by at least one of the auditory sense of the user and the tactile sense of the user. Controller (23) is configured to adjust the control signal so that a perceptible output signal indicates the state of the aerosol-generating device.
EFFECT: providing a user, including a user with physical disorders of one of the senses, visual, auditory and tactile feedback, wherein the feedback provides an indication that the aerosol-generating device is in a certain state.
