SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrical aerosol generating device for generating an aerosol. Device comprises an air path passing through the device and configured to maintain an air flow in the device. Device additionally comprises a sound generating element arranged in fluid communication with the air path and configured to generate sound caused by the passage of air flow through the sound generating element when the device is used when the user puffs. Device additionally contains a puff detector containing a vibration sensor. Vibration sensor is fluidly separated from the air path and is configured to detect sound propagating from the sound generating element to the vibration sensor. Present invention further relates to an aerosol-generating system comprising such a device, and an aerosol-generating article comprising an aerosol-forming substrate.
