FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to haematology and transplantation, and can be used to assess the presence of unrelated donors in a virtual register of arbitrary sizes with predicting the possibility of finding a completely or partially compatible bone marrow donor and haematopoietic stem cells for patients with a known set of alleles of loci of HLA genes. Patient's peripheral blood is sampled. Data on a set of allelic groups of HLA gene loci of donors is obtained using molecular biological methods. HLA genotyping results are combined into an object-oriented database. Results of the examined allelic groups of HLA gene loci are sampled, and all possible pairs of haplotypes making up the genotype are determined. Average frequency of occurrence for each haplotype is calculated. Spreadsheet of haplotypes with frequencies of occurrence higher than specified is generated. Virtual lists of haplotype pairs are generated for comparison with patient's genotype alleles. Derived results of matching the patient’s genotype and genotypes from the virtual lists are used to predict a probability of finding the donors and an average number of the found donors.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to predict finding a completely or partially matched donor for patients with a known set of alleles of HLA gene loci by forming model virtual registers of arbitrary sizes.
