FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemical treatment of domestic wastewater and municipal effluents. In the method of purifying wastewater, acidity of the treated water is brought to pH 9-9.5 with NaOH solution. Disinfection and oxidation of organic compounds is then carried out using NaOCl in amount of 0.5-0.9 ml/l or 0.07-1 g/l of magnesium sulphate is supplied, or stoichiometric amount of magnesium chloride and 0.03-0.3 ml/l of orthophosphoric acid, or a stoichiometric amount of sodium phosphate or trisodium phosphate. Solution is then stirred and allowed to react for 30-120 minutes. Vacuum-ejection treatment is then carried out by passing the purified water at rate of 25 ml/min through a de Laval nozzle at atmospheric pressure P=1 atm with saturation of water with atmospheric oxygen at T=20-25 °C for 20 minutes. That is followed by the electrocoagulation treatment with using soluble aluminium electrodes at current strength 3 A for 3 minutes. Afterpurification of water is carried out by filtration using a filter, for example, filled with resin “КУ-2-8”.
EFFECT: quality of purification of domestic wastewater and municipal effluents is ensured to meet the standards of maximum permissible concentrations of harmful substances in the waters of water bodies used for fishery purposes.
