FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for protection of internal or external screw thread on ends of oil and gas tubing after their cleaning from asphalt-resin-paraffin deposits and ice and can be used in open air under cold climate conditions. Protective device for internal thread of tubing string includes plastic threaded part made in the form of rotation body. Outer conical surface of threaded part is made with thread repeating thread of tubing string and is made of an impact-resistant frost-resistant polymer composition with rubber with the possibility of elastic deformation and straightening when inserted into the tubing and engaging with its thread during installation. Threaded part is provided with handle for gripping, and thread length is equal to length of internal thread of tubing string and is restricted with external annular stop. Besides, protection device for external thread of tubing string is described.
EFFECT: significant simplification and increase in the speed of installation and dismantling of the device while maintaining the reliability of the device.
