SUBSTANCE: proposed group of inventions relates to the technical field of aerosol generating devices, in particular to an aerosol generating device and an air heater included therein. Air heater (100) for heating article (200) for generating an aerosol in an aerosol generating device comprises cavity (112), air inlet (106) and air outlet (107), cavity (112) is connected to the external part of air heater (100) through air inlet hole (106) and air outlet hole (107). Air heater (100) is provided with first substrate (101) located in air heater (100) cavity (112), thereby changing air flow path in cavity (112), second substrate (102) in form of a hollow tube, third substrate (103) and fourth substrate (104). Air inlet (106) is made on second substrate (102). Air outlet hole (107) is made on third substrate (103). Third substrate (103) and fourth substrate (104) are arranged in hollow tube. Said air heater (100) is used in an aerosol generating device comprising main housing (300) and mounting assembly (400).
EFFECT: improving air heating efficiency without increasing the air heater power; achieving sufficient and fast heating and reducing the effect of long-acting high temperatures on the service life.
