FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry, specifically to a method of producing 4,6-disubstituted 2-oxo-3,6-dihydropyrimidine-1,5-dicarbaldehydes of general formula.
where R1 = H or Cl, R2 = H, Cl, Me or MeO. Method is realized by reacting 6-styryl-substituted 4-aryl-3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-one with phosphorus oxychloride (POCI3) in dimethyl formamide (DMF) at temperature 60-80 °C for 40-60 minutes. Obtained reaction mass is cooled in cold 5-10% sodium bicarbonate solution. Precipitate is filtered, washed with water and recrystallised from ethyl acetate and then dried in air.
EFFECT: disclosed method enables to obtain 4,6-disubstituted 2-oxo-3,6-dihydropyrimidines, which can be used as precursors for synthesis of biologically active substances and medicinal drugs.
