FIELD: nuclear technology. SUBSTANCE: invention deals with technology of long storage of depleted nuclear fuel of atomic power stations in water pond. Simultaneously with cleaning saturation of water of pond storing depleted nuclear fuel up to maximum solubility of the latter (15-18)·10-6m3/l is conducted. Mixing is performed by air bubbling for the course of 3-4 days with rate of 18-20 qu.m/h at the same time. System of air supply which relates to depth of water pond as (0.8-1.0):10 is installed in pond for storage of depleted nuclear fuel. Injection of air changes pH to acid region which improved solubility of corrosion products. Simultaneous mixing leads to decrease in concentration of radio nuclides in water of pond and to improved radiation condition. EFFECT: improved radiation condition thanks to decreased levels of radioactivity of water in pond and improved ecology. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 2 tbl
