FIELD: electronic engineering. SUBSTANCE: the method of manufacture of plane dispenser cathode is realized in a device having sponge 2 impregnated with an active matter and cathode cylindrical case 1 enclosing it. Sponge 2 and cathode case 1 have shaped side surfaces providing gap 3 not reaching the cathode working surface. A mix of powders of refractory metals and active matter at a pressure of (1-10)·108Pa is pressed in gap 3, then sintering is accomplished at a temperature of 1673 to 1923 K is accomplished. EFFECT: enhanced yield of serviceable products. 2 dwg
