FIELD: chemistry of polymers. SUBSTANCE: method involves copolymerization of pyrazolone-5 derivatives containing methacrylamide group of the general formula, where n = 0 or 1, with monomers of acrylic order - butylacrylate and 2- acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonate sodium. Initially, emulsion copolymerization of butylacrylate and 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonate sodium or emulsion polymerization of butylacrylate is carried out in the presence of emulsifying agent and initiating agent following by addition of initiating agent and a mixture of pyraxolone-5 derivatives containing methacrylamide groups and butylacrylate at mass ratio (1.1-1):2 and total mass ratio pyrazolone-5 derivatives: butylacrylate = (1.1-1):4 or pyraxolone-5: butylacrylate: 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonate sodium = (5.5-5): 20: 1. Synthesized monomers can be used in chemical-photography industry as polymeric - purple components. Coagulum content is decreased up to 2%. EFFECT: enhanced stability of latex copolymer. 1 tbl
