PHASE SEPARATOR Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: separation of immiscible liquids. SUBSTANCE: phase separator has housing with mixture inlet branch pipe and separated phase outlet branch pipe, transverse wall for dividing separator into sedimentation chamber and separated phase collecting chamber. Ends of horizontal tubes are secured in transverse wall. Which is mounted on rotating supports. Two half-rings with retainers are welded to housing at two sides of transverse wall in diametrically opposed points. Horizontal cross-pieces carrying smoothly curved tubes are attached to transverse wall. EFFECT: reduced dimensions of separator, reduced metal usage and decreased labour consumption for manufacture of separator.
