FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method for blast-furnace smelting of titanomagnetite ore includes calculation of content of titanium oxide and dioxide in the charge, determination of consumption of borate flux in charge to obtain boron oxide-to-titanium dioxide mass ratio within 0.4-0.6. Then, borate flux is loaded into furnace where it is melted to form mobile final slag with viscosity within the order of 3-5 P at discharge. EFFECT: reduced losses of pig iron together with slag, higher efficiency of furnace and degree of recovery of vanadium and decreased specific consumption of coke. 2 tbl
