FIELD: metal heat treatment. SUBSTANCE: method for heat treatment of articles from graphitic steel consists in induction heating of cutting edges of fingers at the rate of 350-2000 C/s up to 1150-1250 C and cooling at the rate of 350-450 C/s by heat removal to article core. Method allows production of martensitic structure with dissemination of ledeburite which does not need subsequent tempering features high wear resistance. EFFECT: higher efficiency of process, increased wear resistance of cutting edges and reduced cracking. 2 cl, 1 tbl
