FIELD: measurement technology, power engineering, petrochemical, food and other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: in proposed ball flowmeter limiting ring member 5 and axially symmetric shell 11 are moved apart on axis of the latter providing for large number of type sizes due to division of controlled flow after branch pipe 2 in body 1 into two flows. Smaller portion of flow goes along circular cavity 12 to tangential ducts 9 and further on through cavity of axially symmetric shell 11 comes out through branch pipe 3. Controlled flow creates rotary motion around rod-expulsor 4 near slit 7 making ball 6 to rotate thanks to viscosity forces and number of turns of ball is measured by unit 8 picking off signal and is proportional to measured volumetric flow rate. Bigger portion of flow is directed over duct 13 directly to outlet branch pipe 3 forming rarefaction zone for smaller flow.
