FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment and electronic instrumentation and can be used in the flow measurement of any electrically conductive and non-conductive, transparent and opaque liquids, in chemical, oil refining, pharmaceutical industry, in power engineering and housing and communal services as a part of systems of accounting of liquids. Ball primary fluid converter consists of a dielectric body with an annular channel, in which the ball can freely rotate, made of a dielectric material and having zero buoyancy in the fluid, a diverting apparatus and an electrical signal generating unit, the ball is made hollow, in the internal cavity of which the inductance is placed in the form of several spatially located turns of the electric wire and a capacitor, connected in series in a ring with a resonant frequency equal to the frequency of self-oscillations of an inductive-capacitive generator with an inductance located sufficiently close to the annular channel, so that the rotating ball gets into the zone of the electromagnetic field induced by this inductance without disturbing the tightness of the flow part of the primary converter, the voltage at which, after detection by the amplitude detector, is the output electrical signal of the primary converter.

EFFECT: receiving output frequency or pulse output signal in the form of voltage or current pulses, independent of the type and physicochemical parameters and properties of the liquid, as well as the speed of rotation of the ball.
