FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: ball primary flow converter of electroconducting fluid comprises a cylindrical body with a circular channel, where a ball may rotate freely, made of dielectric material with zero buoyancy in a fluid, a fixed jet-guiding device, a unit of electric signal pickup and three electrodes installed in the circular channel and in the plane of ball rolling of three electrodes, out of which the middle electrode is connected to the outlet, and two other electrodes are connected to the inverting and non-inverting inlets of the operational amplifier, so that electrical resistances of the fluid between the middle electrode and two other electrodes together with two auxiliary resistors create a positive and negative feedbacks, covering the operational amplifier and controlled by a rotary ball.

EFFECT: independence of the mode of operation of an output signal pickup unit, amplitude and slope of fronts of output square pulses on type and parameters of fluid, also temperature, high slope of fronts of output pulses even at very low flow rates of fluid, suppression of electrolysis and other electrochemical process in the area of electric contact of electrodes with fluid; elimination of the necessity to preset the converter for a specific type of fluid with specified parameters and conditions of operation of a primary converter, reduced requirements to material of electrodes and increased service life of a converter.
