FIELD: technology of producing carbon-containing mass. SUBSTANCE: mass is prepared by mixing calcined coke of different fractions, coal-tar pitch and copolymer of vinylchloride with vinylacetate. Copolymer is used in the amount of 0.3-2.0 wt. -% of charge weight. Content of vinylacetate links in it is 5-20 wt. -% . Coefficient of thermal expansion, specific electric resistance and yield of articles made from mass prepared by disclosed method are equal to and 90-98% , respectively. EFFECT: reduced coefficient of thermal expansion and specific electric resistance of articles, and higher yield of said articles. 1 tbl
