FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: carbon-containing charge has calcined needle-shaped coke of large (16-4 mm), middle (4-0.071 mm) and small (below 0.071 mm) fraction, ferric oxide (3+) and coal pitch at the following ratio of needle-shaped coke fractions in the charge, wt.-% 16-4 mm 11-19; below 0.071 mm 12-16, and 4-0.071 mm the rest, and has components at the following ratio, wt.-% ferric oxide (3+) 0.1-0.5; coal pitch 19-23; needle-shaped coke with microstructure value 5.2-6.2 the rest. Indicated charge components were stirred at 120 C, cooled up to90 ± 5 C, blanks were pressed of charge prepared on the trimmed press, calcined in box furnace in carbon filling up to 125 + 60 C and graphitized in electrical furnace at 2500-2800 C. EFFECT: improved method of graphitized blank preparing. 2 tbl
