FIELD: manufacture of vibroabsorbing materials for operation at 50 ± 7 C. SUBSTANCE: new copolymer production process involves water-impulsion copolymerization of vinyl acetate with butyl acrylate. 1.35 mass percent of the sum of emulsifier is used as surface-active material, its composition being as follows: CnH2n+1C6H4O(C2H4O)mSO3Na, where n = 3-10, m = 10-12. Initiating agent is charged in six steps and in equal portions at equal time intervals of 36 min. Entire mixture of comonomers used in synthesis is introduced into reaction zone at a rate of 33.3-40.0% of total charge per hour; mixture contains 83.7-88.7 mol percent of vinyl acetate and 16.3-11.3 mol percent of butyl acrylate.
