FIELD: instrumentation. SUBSTANCE: radioisotope thickness gauge has measuring converter 1, generator 2, counter 3, decoder 4, counter 5, flip-flop 6, AND gates 7 and 8, multiplier 9, subtracter 10, divider 11, multiplexer 12, register 13, three master controls 14, 15 and 16 of calibration constant, three univibrators 17, 18 and 19, resistor 20, change-over switch 21, OR gate 22, adder 23, multiplier 24, divider 25, four buffers 26, 27, 28 and 29, counter 30, decoder 31, OR gate 32, AND gate 33, univibrators 34 and 35, master control 36 and starting button 37. Such arrangement makes it possible to speed up calibration and to simplify work of operator due to semi-automatic calibration with thickness gauge. For performance of calibration of thickness gauge three different measures are measured, calibration constants are calculated by results of measurements which are entered into master controls 14, 15 and 16 of calibration constants which are used to convert number of pulses of radiation signal into value of thickness of measured coat in metric units.
