FIELD: nuclear technology. SUBSTANCE: process relates to measures to ensure safe processing of irradiated fuel of fast-neutron reactors. Gas mixture produced by processing of fuel elements is taken off locally with opening of gas cavities of fuel elements. After cleaning from aerosols gas is fed into layer of adsorbent which is cooled up to working temperature in flow of cleaned gas with the aid of external source of cold. Process is accomplished in absence of nitrogen oxides. EFFECT: improved safety of cleaning process. 1 tbl
