FIELD: inorganic chemistry, production of luminophors. SUBSTANCE: mixture of 0.1619 g of yttrium oxide and 0.3309 g of tantalum oxide are thoroughly wearied in jasperware stamp, ethyl alcohol being added. Thus obtained mixture is wrapped with platinum foil and placed into graphite glass. Then glass is placed into high pressure press and mixture is heated within 7 min on open air to 1400 C at pressure 70 mbar. Thus prepared mixture is cooled on open air, yield of desired yttrium tantalate is 100 %. EFFECT: increased yield of desired product. 2 tbl
