FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of lanthanum and calcium complex lithium tantalate of composition Li6CaLa2Ta2O12 powder, used as one of main components of lithium-ion battery. Method involves adding tantalum pentoxide to the acid, followed by obtaining a gel and adding nitrates of the corresponding metals and a chelating agent, drying during heating and annealing the obtained xerogel with intermediate grinding and pressing. Tantalum pentoxide is added to 40 % hydrofluoric acid, the obtained solution is evaporated and 13 % ammonium hydroxide solution is added as a chelating agent. Produced product is washed, then dissolved in 30 % nitric acid with addition of citric acid crystal hydrate, after which solutions of lanthanum, lithium and calcium nitrates are added and held at temperature of 140–150 °C with intensive stirring. Xerogel is subjected to annealing at three stages.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain a single-phase product without impurity inclusions and reduced dimension of particles of the obtained material.
