FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has external upright shell-and- tube heat-exchanger with upper and lower opened chambers, separator connected to lower opened chamber through branch pipe for removal of vapor-liquid mixture, and circulation pipe. Upper opened chamber and above-mentioned branch pipe are provided with common, for instance, plane bottom fixed outside around external heat-exchanger below its tube plate, and nipple for discharging evaporated solution from its level into the separator is installed below the bottom. On the upper heat-exchanger tube plate, between rows of heat-exchanging tubes, vertical plates restricted with tube plate perimeter are installed, and upper opened chamber is provided with additional nipples for removing secondary vapor into separator, the latter being placed above the branch pipe for removal of vapor- liquid mixture. Apparatus is designed for concentrating solutions in chemical, metallurgical, and other industries. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of apparatus operation due to intensification of evaporation process and reduction of spray carrying away and solution foaming. 3 cl, 3 dwg
