FIELD: electron-vacuum instrumentation engineering. SUBSTANCE: method for hydrogen regeneration of lead-silicate glass base microchannel plates involves heating of plates and their treatment in hydrogen environment in two stages; treatment temperature during first stage is not to exceed vitrification temperature of microchannel plate material; during second stage, temperature is raised and then reduced. Additional thermal treatment is made before or after cooling down in vacuum at temperature range of 200-500 C for 10-120 min. EFFECT: reduced voltage at fixed gain, that is, higher gain at same voltage across microchannel plate. 1 tbl
