FIELD: electronic converter engineering; image-converter tubes. SUBSTANCE: novelty in known method including plate heating and heat treatment in hydrogen environment followed by its cooling down is that heat treatment of monolithic-mask microchannel plates is effected in three stages; during first stage heat treatment is made in dry nitrogen environment at 440-445 C for 1.0-1.5 h; during second stage, in hydrogen environment at same temperature for 2.5-3.0 h, and during third state, in hydrogen environment at same temperature for 2.0-3.0 h followed by cooling at a rate of 0.5 C per minute down to 380 C and then inertial cooling down to ambient temperature. EFFECT: reduced residual gas content and enhanced thermal vacuum stability of plate; improved stabilization of parameters and reliability of nitrogen-to-glass chemical bond.
