FIELD: nuclear instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method can be used for detection of sources of week neutron fields. Method is based upon retardation of neutrons in operator's body and upon registration of retarded and reflected neutrons by thermal neutron counters, for example, by counters, which have 3He gas being under pressure of several atmospheres.
EFFECT: reduced weight of detecting unit; high sensitivity of inspection of availability of neutron flux.
